Historical Narrative

Everywhere was dissater and Rijwan would hide under the bamboo table whenever there was gunshot and riotting.River turns red and everywhere was on fire and dead body could be seen on the street. How he wish that days would went back just like the past. In the past, the villagers looked happy and satisfied and everything was very peaceful. The river flows gently and Rijwan will stroll along the river with his parent.
Soon, many conflicts start to came by. And unfortunately, Rijwan family were also affected. His parents cannot belived and was shocked upon hearing that they had not been granted the citizenship. Rijwan and his family had felt discriminated. After speading of news, Rijwan and his family soon heard about the new university admission criteria. "Oh my god, i cannot belive it!"Rijwan said.All of them were shock and stunned! One of the criteria was that the pupils must be sinhalese and the second criteria was that the pupils must be ceylon citizen. Rijwan was heartbroken and angry at the same time after knewing it as he try very hard trying to get into university. That not all, the offical language had changed in sinhala which made the tamils even hard to survived. Rijwan had given up his hope of enter into university as he is a tamil.
"What should we do?" said one of the tamil villagers. After the discusion, all of the male decided to join the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and join the riotting against the government forces to gain independent for the Tamil homeland but Rijwan parent were very disagree with this idea.

And soon, gunshots,bombs, screaming and shouting could be heard often. And Rijwan could never ever can have a stroll at the river with family happily again. Rijwan and his family do not have three meal again. They were so poor that they could hardly afford for one meal for the whole family. The population of the village have become lesser and lesser as lots of people were dead during the gunfire. These village was once used to be filled with laughter has became screaming and shouting. Rijwan would never predict that these day will happen making their days so horrible and terrible. These places cannot be lived anymore and Rijwan parent decided to move to other village."I like this place,it has all my childhood memories.I cannot bear to leave this place."Rijwan said.But it seemed useless.However,everyone could live peacefully and harmony if the government do not treat the Tamil unjustisely.
